Kitchen Chysalis

A butoh performance developed and presented during Kamaitachi Village Festival, Hijikata Museum, Japan. 

Inspired by a insects and the women working in the kitchen at the village festival, set in response to the garden bed, the fields and mountains, Butoh founder Tatsumi Hijikata's foot and death mask, and the painter Daisuke Kagawa who was painting along side the performance site.
